About Me
Hello! My name is Kylie McGuire and I am a senior at Flowery Branch High School. One of the greatest things and lessons people have poured into me these past few years is the idea of leadership and what it means. Through my mentor teaching me, through lessons at work, or even in church, "leadership" has always sparked my interest. Making sure my mentorship this year was revolved around that idea is what I truly wanted. Working with leaders in my church such as my mentor and youth pastor, Jorge Alvial and my pastor, David Walters, mentoring at my church has been such an amazing opportunity and has taught me the values of what a true leader looks like. Even if my future career is not working in a church for the rest of my life, learning these techniques and being guided into a leadership role can help me in any situation or career choice, no matter the path I take.
My mentor, Jorge, has an app set up called "Wunderlist" which has my tasks set up for me before I come into mentorship each day. |
My job each day at mentorship includes making graphics for the youth, writing/sketching out the theme for the upcoming Sunday, and other various tasks and projects that need to be done. Being able to do graphics and art for the church has been so beneficial to my passion for design, while teaching me how to be creative on my own.
